Orion Pharma runs SAP ERP solutions. Finance, Operational and HR systems were all managed separately. Planning and reporting were built on several different processes. The objective was to integrate different sub plans for sales, production, HR and R&D and feed the Finance plans.
With SAP ERP modules being used to manage sales, production, and HR, the challenge was to bring all of these areas together into the financials.
Orion had been working with a global consultancy to implement SAP across their operational areas. However, they needed expertise in corporate performance management. Orion approached AIS consulting to provide quality assurance – and then we led the implementation of the corporate software tool.
AIS consulting reworked the proposed blueprint and worked alongside the global systems integrator. Our team worked closely with Orion finance teams to define and implement streamlined processes.
In summary, Orion underwent a finance transformation in corporate performance management. Budget process was redefined to quarterly updates saving 100’s of man days per year. Month end reporting was faster – freeing over 50 man days per month across the group.
